If you’ve stumbled upon this website, then you may have recognized, as I did, that there was a need for a Guided By Voices guitar tablature site once again—one that updates regularly and provides guitar transcriptions for Robert Pollard’s more recent output. I created the GBV Guitar website to provide accurate guitar tablature for Robert Pollard songs (Guided By Voices and other side projects) in an easy-to-read format. But I also want it to be something more than just a collection of tabs; I try to include lessons within each post to highlight Pollard’s unique and, at times, unconventional guitar playing/writing techniques. I find these techniques to be the thing that makes his songs fun to learn on guitar, so this website is my way of celebrating his songwriting.
