There are many songs in the Robert Pollard discography that fit the description of “Beatles-esque” (or maybe “Beatles-ey”?), which makes sense given Pollard has always been a Beatles fan and their music has obviously influenced him in a lot of ways. One such tune that comes to my mind immediately as being Beatles-influenced is “Crutch Came Slinking” from King Shit And The Golden Boys, but with the release of Thick Rich And Delicious I’m adding “Our Man Syracuse” to that list as well.
